Dear friends and family, (version en français plus bas)

As you might have read on facebook, I've made it to San Pedro, Belize without any troubles. I had the chance to see a good friend and accouintances on my way, in Cancun Mexico. I am looking forward to my stay here and getting to know the other staff more. I've been told that I will be leading a small group, which means I will have the responsibility of checking up on students individually and as a group to see how they are dealing with everything and help them grow in their relationship with God and others. Small groups help process everything you learn and everything you experience. I will probably be working on the promotional video at the same time, but that will be a little later in the school. For now, I am just asked to relax and adapt. Which has come quite easily to me. ha ha! It's been nice to drink a cup of coffee in the morning with a beautiful view, while iguanas run around chasing each other. It kind of feels surreal. Anyways, later this week, I will be starting the training for staff with Bryden (who was in my DTS in 2011), Alyssa (leader on my DTS) and our leader Ally (my small group leader in 2011). That will be our team for the April school, which I am really excited about because I all know them already. I have been told that there will be 6 to 8 students, so it's a small school. But I am really looking forward to it. This is an exciting new season for me, and even if I am nervous, I know it going to be good for me.

Comme vous avez probablement lu sur facebook, je me suis rendu à San Pedo Belize sans problèmes. J'ai même eu la chance de revoir un bon ami et des connaissances en passant par Cancun, Mexique. C'est excitant d'être de retour ici, et d'apprendre à connaître les nouvelles personnes staff que je ne connaissais pas. Mes leaders m'ont annoncé que je vais être leader d'un petit groupe, ce qui veut dire que j'ai la responsabilité d'aider les étudiants dans mon groupe à s'adapter, à bien s'intégrer, à grandir dans leur relation avec Dieu, etc. Une grande partie de cette tâche est d'être à l'écoute de l'étudiant et de l'aider à vivre cette expérience au maximum. Je vais probablement travailler sur le video promotionnel un peu plus tard dans l'école. Pour l'instant, ils m'ont simplement demander de relaxer et de m'adapter. Ce qui me vient pas mal facilement. haha! Je me suis surprise à déjà commencer une petite routine matinale. Je bois mon café devant une vue incroyable, en écoutant des Iguanes se chasser. C'est encore un peu surreal!

Plus tard cette semaine, je vais commencer mon "training" de staff avec Bryden (qui a fait son DTS en même temps que moi en 2011), Alyssa (leader dans mon DTS) et avec notre leader Ally (mon leader de petit groupe lors de mon DTS). Donc, ça va être notre petite équipe de staff pour l'école en Avril. Ça l'aide beaucoup que je connais déjà les gens dans mon équipe. Nous allons avoir 6 à 8 étudiant(e)s, donc ça va être une petite école. Mais tout ca est très excitant pour moi. Même si je suis nerveuse, je sais que ça va être une très belle expérience grandissante pour moi.
